Welcome from our Head Teacher

I am delighted to welcome you to South Rise Primary School. At South Rise we feel immensely proud of our children and all of their achievements. They have fantastic attitudes to learning, they behave well, and they collaborate and work with each other successfully.

We believe that children should have an exciting start to their school life, and this is represented though our ambitious and creative, knowledge-based curriculum. We take a "whole-child" approach to the education of our children and during their time with us, they make excellent progress both academically, and also in their personal development. Our school values are at the heart of all we do; we place great emphasis on developing the whole child through focusing on language, good manners, honesty, showing respect, cooperation, collaboration and taking responsibility for themselves and others.

We are committed to children valuing learning both in and out of school and provide a wide range of experiences to support this, including educational trips and residential school journeys.  We have a very close relationship with our community and listen to the views and desires of children and parents so that we can keep improving and enhancing all that we do. Our Pastoral Team provide a range of opportunities for parents to become involved with the school through coffee mornings, Stay and Play Sessions, Personal Development Classes and much more.

The staff at South Rise are committed, highly skilled and work together as a team.  They always put children first and strive for excellence in everything they do. All our staff have a friendly, positive attitude and adopt a solution-focused approach to overcome obstacles and enable everyone to achieve their full potential.

We expect nothing but the absolute best for all our children, staff and parents.  We aim to always be a school where children and adults are proud to come every day.  The best way to appreciate us is to come and visit to see our wonderful school in action. You can contact the school office to arrange a time by emailing
